Someone tied up this pit bull to a tree behind an abandoned house. When Officer Nick of Lifeline Animal Project approached her, she couldn’t stop wagging her tail and giving him kisses. A year later, she’s just as grateful.

Her cries at the beginning broke my heart. Whoever did that to her is a monster. Thank god this rescuers found her and that she has a better life with a better, loving family now.

I don’t understand why people can be so cruel, especially to something so helpless. What a beautiful ending to a terrible story. Brought me to tears seeing her tied to that tree, then I felt the anger. Thank you for saving her.

When I was a little kid (30 years ago) my mom found a dog that had been tied up and dumped in the garbage outside of her work. When she pulled the dog out she thought it was already dead but at least deserved a nice burial. Then he wagged his tail. We named him Bones because he was a bag of bones. He was some sort of shepherd mix, and turned into a wonderful dog who died of old age, surrounded by love.
